Create and review a fence estimate

Choose the right starting point

For a real project, open the estimator from your contractor workspace or use the link your contractor provides. The public demo uses sample data and doesn’t provide a quote for your property.

Build the estimate

1. Enter the project address and confirm that the map shows the intended property.
2. Draw the fence runs and add the gates you need. Review lengths and positions before choosing materials.
3. Select the available fence system, material, and variants for each section. Choices depend on the configured catalog.
4. Review quantities, material prices, labor, and other scope items. Resolve missing or unexpected values before sharing.
5. In the contractor project, open the saved estimate and select Approve & Create Contract when you’re ready to prepare an agreement. An already approved estimate shows Create Contract.

Review what the map cannot confirm

A map drawing is a planning aid. Confirm measurements, property boundaries, access, ground conditions, and any removal or site work with the contractor. Discuss permits and association requirements that apply to the project.

Pricing follows the configured material and labor inputs. An estimate changes when its scope or pricing changes; review the final proposal before agreeing to it.

Check missing materials or prices

Confirm that you’re using the intended contractor’s estimator and that the selected system is available to that account. Check its variants, component relationships, units, and prices in Materials. A catalog problem needs review before a quote is sent.

Share the next step with the customer

For a contractor preparing an agreement, use Approve & Create Contract or Create Contract in the estimate. Review the recipient and the version you’re sharing, then follow the contract workflow.
