Estimator Guide

Learn how to create professional fence estimates for your customers.

How It Works

1. Enter Address

Enter the customer's address to load the property on the map.

2. Draw Fence Lines

Use the drawing tools to trace where the fence will be installed.

3. Select Materials

Choose the fence type and materials for each section.

4. Review Pricing

Check the calculated pricing and make any adjustments needed.

5. Invite Customer

Send an invite so the customer can view the estimate in their portal.

6. Create Contract

When approved, generate a contract for the customer to sign.

Drawing Tools

Fence Lines

  • • Click points on the map to draw fence lines
  • • The system automatically calculates linear footage
  • • Double-click to finish a fence section
  • • Drag points to adjust positions

Gates

  • • Add gates at any point along a fence line
  • • Choose from standard gate widths or enter custom sizes
  • • Select gate type (single, double, sliding)

Selecting Materials

After drawing your fence lines, select the materials for each section:

Fence Type

Choose the fence style (privacy, picket, chain link, etc.)

Material

Select the material (wood, vinyl, aluminum, etc.)

Height

Choose the fence height for the section

Color/Style

Pick color or style options if available

Pricing updates automatically as you make selections based on your configured material prices.

Sharing with Customers

Invite to Customer Portal

Send the customer an email invitation to access their portal. Once they log in, they can view the estimate details, project information, and communicate with you directly.

Generate Contract

When the customer is ready to proceed, generate a contract that includes the estimate details. The contract can be sent for digital signature.

Tip: Use the customer portal invite to let customers review estimates online. This creates a professional experience and keeps all communications in one place.
